Hero MotoCorp has launched the Xtreme 250R Carbon in India. It now gets a TFT console, ride-by-wire throttle, cruise control, a bi-directional quickshifter, and a tyre pressure monitoring system. Bookings are open from October 17, with deliveries starting on November 1.
Visual changes include gold anodised front forks and carbon-fibre hydro-dipped panels. The motorcycle comes in three colours: Carbon Red, Carbon Black and Carbon White. The rear tyre is now a Ceat SportRad radial, while the front remains non-radial.
In terms of features, it gets a 4.2-inch TFT console that offers Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and a lap timer. The motorcycle also gets traction control, cruise control and four ride modes: Rain, Road, Sport and a dedicated Track mode. A sensorless bi-directional quickshifter is standard. The TPMS shows colour-coded alerts. There’s also a new monoshock with Frequency Dependent Damping, which is a segment-first feature.
The 250cc liquid-cooled, four-valve DOHC engine is carried over. It makes 30PS at 9,250rpm and 25.3Nm at 7,500rpm, which is 0.3Nm more torque, peaking 250rpm higher. Hero claims a 0-60kmph time of 3.2 seconds.
The Hero Xtreme 250R Carbon costs ₹1.98 lakh ex-showroom and is sold in a single variant through Hero Premia outlets.
