Hyundai Motor India Limited has finally unveiled the upcoming Bayon SUV after releasing multiple teasers and design sketches. The new Bayon is set to launch in India October 26, 2026. The Bayon slots in between the Hyundai Venue and the Hyundai Creta. The Bayon is also Hyundai’s first vehicle to get a generative AI voice assistant, featuring intelligence by Perplexity and Voice AI powered by SoundHound AI. It also has an NVIDIA-accelerated connected car navigation cockpit.

On the design front, the Bayon follows the brand’s ‘Art of Steel’ design language; it gets a split LED headlamp and horizontal LED DRLs. The headlamp is housed in the front bumper. It gets flared wheel arches and petal-style alloy wheels. Hyundai opts for traditional pull-type door handles and gloss-black treatment for the roof. At the rear, the Bayon gets sleek tail lamps and ‘Bayon’ lettering on the tailgate.

Moving to the interior, it gets dual 12.3-inch curved displays under a single glass panel, and a multi-language interface, with over 500 embedded voice commands in 10 regional and two international languages. It also gets BlueLink connected tech with over 70 features, OTA updates, and software enhancements. It also includes—remote start/stop, connected vehicle information, remote vehicle controls, smartphone and smartwatch connectivity, location and navigation-related services, and safety and security features.
As of now, Hyundai will offer the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine making 115PS and 144Nm. Customers have the choice of a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic. Bookings are now open at ₹11,000 and can be booked through Hyundai’s dealerships or website.
