Ducati has unveiled the second generation of the Desert X. The new Ducati Desert X is not just an update but a completely new generation of the motorcycle, featuring a new chassis, new engine and suspension.
Powering the 2026 Ducati Desert X is the new-generation 890cc liquid-cooled V2 engine that churns out 110PS and 92Nm. However, the engine is tuned to deliver a stronger mid-range, which is expected from an adventure motorcycle.

Apart from the new engine, another major highlight is the new aluminium monocoque chassis, where the engine sits as a stressed member. Ducati claims that this new setup is designed to enhance rigidity while maintaining a low overall mass. Additionally, the motorcycle has given up its metal fuel tank in favour of a tank made of polymer.

On the suspension front, the new Desert X gets a fully-adjustable long-travel USD fork and a monoshock at the rear with a new linkage. The motorcycle continues to ride on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels. For braking, it gets twin front discs and a single disc at the rear.
In terms of features and equipment, the Desert X gets a new colour TFT screen, which features a new layout. The extensive electronics suite includes different riding modes, traction control, cornering ABS, cruise control and wheelie control, allowing riders to set up the motorcycle according to the terrain they are riding on.

The new Ducati Desert X follows the previous iteration in terms of its visual identity. It comes with a similar tall stance, less bodywork and the twin head lamp setup. Ducati has revised the ergonomics of the motorcycle for improved riding comfort. While Ducati is yet to announce the pricing of the motorcycle, we can expect it to land on our shores in a few months.
