One of the greatest Ferraris ever made, the F355, has been given the full restomod treatment by the British company, Evoluto, and the changes are more than skin-deep.

Evoluto

The process starts by completely stripping the donor car to its bare metal, studying it thoroughly, and then all the critical hard points on the chassis are strengthened through carbon fusing, resulting in a 23 percent increase in torsional stiffness. Additionally, carbon fibre body panels are used to keep the weight down to just 1,250 kg to improve performance.

The 355 by Evoluto’s lines are penned by Callum designs. The reimagination stays true to the original but is more muscular, with increased track width. At the front, it gets larger, deeper cooling intakes with a redesigned front splitter, and the pop-up headlamps are now LED. It also features new ORVMs, flush door handles for improved aero efficiency, and 19-inch forged wheels all-round. Evoluto also offers a plethora of personalisation options, from paint jobs to interior options, to create one-of-a-kind commissions.

Inside, the 355 by Evoluto gets custom bucket seats, fabric door handles, and once more, multiple personalisation options, like the colour of the interior, types of leather, and different material finishes.

Evoluto

Powering the 355 by Evoluto is a thoroughly-reworked version of Ferrari’s F129 V8, which still revs up to 8,500rpm, but now produces 420PS — an improvement of 40PS over the original, mated to a 6-speed gated manual transmission as it should be. Upgrades include Evoluto’s bespoke tuning with their new coil-on-plug ignition system, delivering precise ignition timing, a newly designed quill shaft, a CNC ported head with larger inlet valves for better flow, and a lightweight titanium exhaust system. Furthermore, it features an entirely new wiring and electric architecture for better reliability. Brakes are also upgraded with Brembo 6-piston callipers with slotted discs at the front and 4-piston callipers at the back, with an option for carbon ceramics.

Evoluto

As each restoration is tailored to the owner’s specific requests, the price can vary wildly depending on the options chosen. Limited to only 55 units, the 355 by Evoluto is an exclusive restomod that focuses on the pure analog experience of a classic Ferrari, just with modern convenience and a whole lot more power!
