What is it?

Off-road gloves offer scant protection on tarmac, but urban/street gloves are stiffer than most off-road gloves. So, as a dual-sport rider for the last dozen-odd years, I was delighted when the Viaterra Roost showed up at the office. These are one of the few leather-free mesh dual-sport gloves in India, and leather gloves are notoriously hard to put on if your hands are wet (this happens more frequently while off-roading than you might think). The Roost has a sturdy construction of Amara suede for the palms, with SAS Tec CE Level 2 viscoelastic knuckle armour and a flexible SuperFabric scaphoid bone protection. While definitely heavier than offroad gloves, they are lighter and more comfortable than street gloves, and have become my go-to gloves for all kinds of riding, on both the road and the trails.
