Suzuki Burgman Street EX: Long Term Update – 2,602km

The Suzuki Burgman continues to impress, even on long highway rides

Ever since I received the keys to it, the Suzuki Burgman Street EX has become my inseparable partner-in-crime on my daily commute to work. This scooter has proven to be incredibly reliable and capable of handling my day-to-day routine with ease. This is no surprise as it was designed from the outset to be a comfortable commuter.

But the Burgman not only performs well in the daily commutes, it does an equally impressive job at weekend trips as well. On one of my recent sojourns, I decided to take the scoot out on a trip to Lavasa, which involves some steep Ghat roads and less than ideal surfaces. Not to mention the distance covers nearly 100 kilometres for a return trip. I am so glad I made this decision, as it was an amazing experience! The scooter handled the distance without any issues, and the twists and turns of the hill roads were no challenge to it too.

All of this happened during the peak of the monsoon season, but I didn’t have to worry about any electronic gadgets getting wet because the Burgman has ample storage space. In fact, it easily stored my entire camera bag, which was a huge relief. You may ask why would I travel with my camera bag on a casual weekend trip, in which case I must assume you don’t know too many photographers!

The Burgman Street EX continues to impress me with its performance and practicality. It has a really comfortable ride, and I can confidently say that I have not faced any issues so far. I am so glad I got this as my longtermer and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and comfortable scooter that one can take out on the highways too.
