Renault has launched the new 2026 Duster in India, with prices starting at ₹10.49 lakh (ex-showroom). However, customers who pre-booked the SUV via the R-Pass can avail of a special introductory price starting from ₹10.29 lakh (ex-showroom). The third generation of this compact SUV makes its return after the nameplate was discontinued in 2022.
The new Duster brings several changes to both the exterior and interior while retaining a silhouette similar to previous generations. Inside, the cabin features a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital driver instrument console. The steering wheel houses physical buttons on both sides for quick, easy access to various functions. Additionally, the use of premium materials for the dashboard and seats gives the interior an upmarket feel.
On the outside, the Duster features new LED headlamps, a redesigned front fascia, fresh alloy wheels, and a new tail lamp setup. It also includes an electrically operated tailgate and displays the sleek new Renault logo.
Renault is offering three powertrain options for the new Duster. The range starts with a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 101PS and 160Nm, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. There is also a larger 1.3-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine making 163PS and 280Nm, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed DCT gearbox. The third option is a 1.8-litre strong-hybrid petrol engine equipped with a 1.4kWh battery pack and two electric motors.
Deliveries of the ICE (petrol) models are scheduled to begin in April, while the strong-hybrid variant is expected to arrive during the upcoming festive season. Renault also shared interesting findings from the R-Pass pre-booking data, which shows that 91 percent of customers expressed interest in the Turbo 160 engine variant, while 39 per cent showed interest in the strong-hybrid model.
