Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the e-ACCESS at ₹1.88 lakh ex-showroom, the bookings for which have now commenced. The e-ACCESS is the first electric scooter from the Japanese brand. This also marks the brand’s entry into electric mobility in the two-wheeler segment, starting with India.
It gets a 4.1kW electric motor that delivers 15Nm and has three ride modes – Eco, Ride A and Ride B and has a claimed range of 95km. Charging from 0-80 percent takes about 4 hour 30 minutes with a portable charger and slightly over an hour with a DC fast charger. Additionally there is a reverse mode and regenerative braking. The chassis has the aluminium battery case integrated in it, aimed at improving rigidity and stability.
Features include LED lighting, two-tone alloy wheels and a belt final drive which allows minimum to no maintenance. The e-ACCESS will be offered with up to 7 years or 80,000km warranty. Suzuki India also has a network of over 1,200 outlets for customers to experience the e-ACCESS and avail charging facilities. Currently more than 240 outlets are available with DC fast chargers and portable AC chargers are available at all the 1,200 outlets.
THe e-ACCESS will rival the likes of the TVS iQUBE, OLA S1, Bajak Chetak, Ather Rizta and the Honda Activa E. We have ridden the Suzuki e-ACCESS and come away impressed.
