Looking at the design, the EQE follows the Mercedes EQ philosophy of a smooth body as well as a black front panel replacing what would have been a front grille on the GLE. Aside from that, most of the silhouette resembles the GLE. Practicality is aplenty with a 520-litre boot space that extends to 1,675 litres with the seats folded down.
As far as features go, it’s got all the bells and whistles which include a 56-inch MBUX Hyperscreen, active ambient lighting, ventilated and heated front seats as well as a 15-speaker Burmester 3D sound system. There’s also ADAS features like Attention Assist, Active Brake Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, and Speed Limit Assist. There’s also a rear-steer system, which provides up to 10 degrees of steering angle on the rear axle.

In terms of range, the EQE SUV is juiced by a 90kWh battery pack which allows for a claimed range of 550km on a single charge. Speaking of charging, the 170kW fast charger helps give a 10 to 80 percent charge in just over 30 minutes
With this price tag for the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV, you also get a wall box charger and installation. The electric SUV’s rivals include the BMW iX and the Audi Q8 e-tron.
