Simple Wave electric scooter launched at ₹1.10 lakh

Simple Energy has launched the Wave electric scooter in India at an introductory ex-showroom price of ₹1,09,999. The company has introduced the Wave in three variants, with prices for the other variants set to be announced later. Deliveries are scheduled to begin from the last week of September 2026.

The range includes the Wave S, Wave and range-topping Wave+, with battery capacities ranging from 2.2kWh to 5kWh. The Wave+ uses a 5kWh battery and has a claimed IDC range of 243km, while the 3.7kWh version is rated for 171km. The 2.7kWh and 2.2kWh versions offer claimed IDC ranges of 132km and 110km, respectively.

The Wave+ uses a 6.4kW motor, with a claimed top speed of 90km/h. Power is sent to the rear wheel through a chain final drive. The scooter gets a tubular steel frame, telescopic front suspension and twin rear shocks, along with 12-inch alloy wheels.

Storage is a key feature of the Wave electric scooter, with up to 70 litres of underseat storage including two pill-shaped storage compartments on each side of the scooter. Other features include a 7-inch TFT or 5-inch EBN display, depending on the variant, along with connected features on TFT-equipped versions.

The Wave also gets 175mm of ground clearance, a 775mm seat height. The range supports standard and fast charging, with the Wave+ claimed to charge from 0-80 percent in 2 hours 15 minutes when using a fast charger.
