The Lenovo LOQ Intel Arc Laptop is a notable entry in the mid-range gaming and performance laptop market. Here’s a detailed review covering various aspects of the device which includes various tests carried out.

Design and Build:
Lenovo LOQ features a sleek and sturdy design, characteristic of Lenovo’s attention to build quality. Its minimalist aesthetic with a matte finish(Luna Grey) gives it a professional look while maintaining a subtle gamer appeal. The laptop’s chassis is made of durable plastic, offering a solid feel without being overly heavy, making it relatively portable for a gaming laptop.

The laptop gets a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display, providing vibrant colors and wide viewing angles. The refresh rate, often around 144Hz, ensures smooth gameplay and a more immersive experience for fast-paced games. It gets 300 nits of brightness with an anti-glare screen.

Powered by an Intel Core i5 processor, the Lenovo LOQ delivers impressive performance for both gaming and productivity tasks. The Intel Arc GPU offers decent gaming capabilities, handling most modern titles at medium to high settings with stable frame rates. Additionally, the laptop’s multi-core CPU excels in multitasking and running demanding applications, making it suitable for content creation and other intensive tasks.

Thermals and Cooling:
Lenovo has equipped the LOQ with an efficient cooling system that includes multiple heat pipes and dual fans. This setup effectively manages heat dissipation, keeping the laptop cool during extended gaming sessions. The fan noise is noticeable under heavy load but not excessively loud, ensuring a relatively quiet operation in standard use cases. The on/off controller has a surround light that changes color to blue/red/white as per fan settings.

The keyboard on the Lenovo LOQ is comfortable for long typing sessions and gaming, featuring well-spaced keys with good travel and tactile feedback, It also gets a white backlight. The touchpad is responsive and supports multi-touch gestures, although most gamers would likely prefer using an external mouse for better precision.

Battery Life:
Battery life is typically an area where gaming laptops compromise and the Lenovo LOQ is no exception. With moderate usage, including web browsing, video playback, and light productivity tasks, the laptop offers around 4-6 hours of battery life. Intensive gaming will significantly reduce this duration, so staying plugged in is advisable for uninterrupted gameplay.

Connectivity & Ports:
LOQ offers 3 USB-A ports and 1 USB-C Port, with Lenovo PD 140W and Display Port 1.4. Standard ports which are on offer are 1 HDMI 2.1, up to 4k/60Hz. A headphone jack and a microphone combo jack which is 3.5 mm. Gets one port for the power connector. The inclusion of Wi-Fi 6 ensures fast and stable wireless connectivity, which is essential for online gaming and streaming.

Gaming & Editing:
We tested Battlefield 4 and conducted some photo and video editing in Lightroom and Premiere Pro. While playing the game, we noticed occasional frame drops, but overall, it handled the gameplay smoothly and provided a satisfying experience. Editing photos in Lightroom was quick and efficient, and the laptop performed admirably with Premiere Pro, responding swiftly to our actions and facilitating a seamless editing process.

The Lenovo LOQ 15IAX9I stands out as a compelling choice for both gamers and professionals. With its powerful performance, sleek design, and innovative features, it delivers an exceptional computing experience.
