After an unveiling back in April, the carmaker has launched the Citroën C3 Aircross mid-size SUV with prices starting at Rs 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom. Bookings for the SUV are now open at a token amount of Rs 25,000 with deliveries commencing on October 15, 2023.
Citroën will offer the SUV in three variants: You, Plus and Max with three-row five + two-seater as well as two-row five-seater options. It also offers boot space of up to 511 litres. Key features include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 1.0-litre glovebox, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as a seven-inch colour TFT instrument cluster screen with up to six modes for displaying vehicle information. An additional feature for the three-row version will be five USB ports.
The C3 Aircross will be offered with a sole 110PS 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that is also found on the C3 hatchback, paired with a six-speed manual transmission. There is no option of an automatic transmission as of now but we expect Citroën to introduce one later. The powertrain boasts a claimed fuel efficiency of 18.5kmpl.
At this introductory starting price, the mid-size SUV will go up against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder and the MG Astor.
