2023 Tata Nexon launched at Rs 8.10 lakh onwards

It will be on offer in four Personas – Smart, Pure, Creative and Fearless

The facelifted version of Tata’s best selling and one of the highest selling sub-four metre SUV in India, the Nexon, has been launched at an introductory price of Rs 8.10 lakh, ex-showroom, onwards. It has undergone a major makeover and now packs in a lot of features.

Design highlights of the 2023 Nexon include a new front fascia which features a split headlamp setup, while the rear gets an LED bar running across the width of the car. The interiors have been thoroughly redesigned with the new dashboard featuring a 10.25-inch infotainment and digital driver’s display. Other highlights include a two-spoke steering wheel, a 360-degree camera, electronically height-adjustable driver and co-passenger seats, as well as touch-sensitive HVAC controls.

The facelifted model carries over the engine options from its predecessor which includes a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel engine. The former puts out 120PS and 170Nm with three gearbox options – a five-speed manual, a six-speed AMT, and new for the facelift, a  seven-speed DCT, depending on the variant. On the other hand, the diesel engine puts out 115PS and 260Nm with transmission options including a six-speed manual and a six-speed AMT.

While the petrol engines can be purchased with all the four Personas, the diesel engine can only be had with the Pure Persona onwards. The option of a sunroof will be available with Smart+ variant onwards. Tap here to know more about all the Personas on offer.

The Tata Nexon’s huge list of competitors in the sub-four metre segment include the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger and the Mahindra XUV300.
