The Nürburgring completes 100 years in 2027, and to celebrate its 100th anniversary, BMW is bringing ‘100 Jahre Nürburgring’ editions of 5 cars in India, and one of the five is the BMW M5 Touring, which has hitherto been forbidden fruit for Indian BMW fans. The other four cars are the M2 xDrive, the M3 Competition xDrive, the M4 Competition xDrive, and the M5. But that’s not all as the ‘100 Jahre Nürburgring’ extends to a motorcycle as well, in the form of the BMW M1000 R. Bookings for all the aforementioned vehicles are now open.
All of these vehicles are finished in an exclusive shade of Nürburgring Green. All of these cars also sport design details inspired by the legendary ‘Green Hell,’ which is why they are all green (green seems to be the flavour of the season though, as the latest Jeep Wrangler Limited Edition, the Mojito, also comes in a rather eye-catching shade of Verde). The design incorporates the ‘100 Years’ logo, the ‘Nürburgring since 1927’ wording, and the silhouette of the Nürburgring Nordschleife, embroidered in the headrest of the cars.
The M2 XDrive gets an M carbon roof, M carbon bucket seats, exclusive paintwork, and specific graphics that are related to the Nürburgring. The M3 Competition gets an M carbon roof, and green accents on the wheels. The M4 Competition xDrive gets an M carbon roof, Styling M light wheel with green accents. The M5 Touring, that finally made it to India, gets a steel roof with stripes.
The M 1000 R gets a painted fuel tank with Nürburgring silhouette, an airbox cover in the anniversary design, carbon wheels with accent stripes in Nürburgring Green, and a seat in Alcantara look with embroidered ‘100.’
All six vehicles come in a spectacular shade of green, to give a tribute to the legendary racetrack. A tribute that it wholeheartedly deserves.
