Renault India announced that the Duster strong hybrid E-Tech 160 gets an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency rating of 29kmpl. That is higher than the claimed efficiency of the other strong hybrids in its segment—the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder (27.97kmpl), the Maruti-Suzuki Victoris (28.65kmpl), and the Maruti-Suzuki Grand Vitara (27.97kmpl). It gets an Atkinson-cycle based 1.8-litre naturally-aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine combined with two electric motors and a 1.4kWh battery for a combined output of 160PS.
The Duster hybrid is the first E-tech model that Renault will bring to India under its futuREady roadmap, and the third powertrain option for the Duster. The Duster hybrid will launch officially on October 17, 2026.
