Ather has launched the Konarc, an entry-level, affordable electric scooter, with prices starting from ₹99,999 for the 2.1kW battery pack variant. Unveiled at Ather’s fourth edition of its Community Day, the Konarc will be available in a total of five variants across two trims – S and Z.

However, as of now, the Ather Konarc 2.1kWh battery pack variant will be available, with the other variants soon to join the queue for deliveries. The Konarc also features a metal body, which the CEO says is a first for the brand.

The Ather Konarc S is available in three variants – 2.1kWh, 2.7kWh and 3.5kWh, which offer claimed IDC ranges of 100km, 125km and 161km, respectively. The 2.1kWh variant produces 4kW of power, while the other two variants offer 4.7kW. Torque is uniform across the range at 16Nm, and all three variants have their top speeds capped at 70kmph.

Feature-wise, the entry-level variant gets drum brakes, while the other variants come with front disc brakes, which also have what Ather calls the AeBS. Other features include hill-hold, reverse parking, AirWalk, SmartWake and AutoLock (for the Z variant with the Magic Key). You also get a 4.2-inch digital instrument cluster on the entry-level variant, while the mid- and top-spec Konarc S variants get a 7-inch digital display. You also have a lot of connected features on offer. The top-spec Z variant takes things slightly higher with a TFT display, an adjustable backrest for the pillion and features like AutoPop, which helps you pop open the seat, especially when your hands are full.

In terms of charging, the Konarc gets a 450W on-board charger, which has also allowed the brand to free up space under the seat, offering 31 litres of storage. A front cubby hole is also present.

The Konarc Z variants will be available in 2027, with variants being introduced in a phased manner.
