Vespa has unveiled the Tech 80th special edition in India to celebrate its 80th anniversary. It draws inspiration from the very first single-coloured Vespa models, retrieved from the historical archives.

The Vespa Tech 80th features a special ‘Verde Pastello’ green shade, inspired by early Vespa models from 1946. The shade extends to multiple elements, including the front shield trim, passenger grab handle, rearview mirrors, switchgear, and front suspension linkage. To complement this, the saddle, rubber inserts on the footrests, seat, and handles are finished in a darker green shade.

The rims on this special edition are inspired by the Vespa 98 from 1946, finished in Verde Pastello with a diamond-cut finish. The scooter also features a commemorative ‘80th’ plaque alongside the Vespa logo on the front shield, while the rear boasts an ‘ 80 years of Vespa Est. 1946’ badge.

The Tech 80th special edition is based on the current-gen Vespa and will be available in 125cc and 150cc guises. The 124.45cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine produces 9.5PS and 10.1Nm, while the 149.5cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine produces 11.4PS and 11.66Nm.

Apart from this, Vespa has also introduced new shades for the Vespa Tech and Vespa S. The Vespa Tech gets a new ‘Lilac’ shade, while the Vespa S gets a new matte black shade, prices for which will be announced soon.
