The Chinese technology brand, Xiaomi has showcased its Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) smart ecosystem called the Human x Car x Home at the Mobile World Congress 2024 held in Barcelona, Spain.
The foundation of the Human x Car x Home is the HyperOS, which features system-level cross-device connectivity to integrate over 200 product categories comprising 600 million global devices covering 95 percent of user scenarios, as claimed by Xiaomi.
The SU7 is Xiaomi’s first electric vehicle and has three variants; the base, the Pro and the Max. The SU7 Max was showcased at the MWC. It has a dual-motor AWD setup, with a total output of 663PS. Xiaomi claims the top speed of the SU7 Max is 265kmph with a 0 to 100kmph time of 2.78 seconds and a range of 800km.
During the MWC event, Xiaomi showcased devices such as the 12S Ultra which is the company’s first phone that has been jointly developed with Leica. Also on display was the recently launched Xiaomi 14 series, which features Leica’s Summilux optical lenses.
The CyberDog 2 was presented too, a quadruped robot that has 19 sensors for functions like vision, touch and hearing. Xiaomi claims the robot is designed to resemble a real dog in its movement, appearance and interactions. The technology behind the robot is open-source and can be customised by developers to suit their needs.
At the event, Xiaomi reiterated its vow to reach carbon neutrality by 2040, which was declared in its inaugural climate action white paper during the COP28 conference. The company claims that its various initiatives and adoption of a circular economy which has a goal of recycling 38,000 tonnes of electronic waste from 2022 to 2026 will help in bridging technology and environmental sustainability.
