Ten years of motorcycling madness at India Bike Week 2023

From humble beginnings, India Bike Week has become one of the must-attend events on the calendar of the Indian motorcyclist

India Bike Week remains a celebration of the entire gamut of motorcycling culture in India. It’s now in its tenth anniversary and had actual vehicle launches by manufacturers such as Aprilia, Kawasaki and Triumph. There were many other things as well, such as six different tracks for riders to try their skills on in various styles of riding. Let’s take a look at the launches:

Aprilia RS 457:
While the details of the motorcycle were revealed quite some time ago, Aprilia decided to tell us the price of the most affordable Aprilia supersport motorcycle at IBW. The price is Rs 4.10 lakh, ex-showroom – much lower than what people expected it to be. The motorcycle will be manufactured at Aprilia’s Baramati plant in Maharashtra and exported throughout the world.

Kawasaki W175 Street:
A surprise launch from Team Green, the W175 retains the same mechanicals from the regular W175 but gets alloy wheels and tubeless tyres. We prefer the proper vintage styling of the regular W175. The colours are also new on the Street, with a green and silver option. The price starts at Rs 1.35 lakh, ex-showroom.

Triumph Stealth Editions and the new Tiger 900 lineup:
Triumph has unveiled the new hand-painted Stealth Editions for quite a few of its Modern Classics range, with eight specific combinations in total. A high gloss metallic colour transitions into black for all of these models. The price has not been announced yet for these. On the other hand, the Tiger 900 model range has been simplified with just the road-oriented GT and the off-road focused Rally Pro.

Apart from launches, there was the Biker Build Off competition with the donor bike being the Harley-Davidson X440 for this year, and custom bike builders came from all around the country with some exciting take on the roadster motorcycle.

Overall, the India Bike Week 2023 was all it promised to be and more, we can’t wait for the next year!
