A Custom-Inspired Neo-Retro Motorcycle from Royal Enfield

Royal Enfield, the oldest continuously produced motorcycle brand, has taken a leap into the future of custom culture with the global debut of the Shotgun 650 in Goa. This unique roadster, inspired by anarchic custom culture and Royal Enfield’s roadster DNA, is a testament to the brand’s commitment to creativity and self-expression.

Built on the proven 650-Twin engine platform, the Shotgun 650 Motoverse Edition, a limited release with only 25 units, was unveiled exclusively for Motoverse 2023 attendees. This special colorway and edition, priced at Rs 4,25,000 (ex-showroom), will never be reproduced, offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for enthusiasts to own this motorcycle.

The Motoverse edition draws inspiration from custom culture of the 60s and 70s, featuring hand-painted body panels with a carefully crafted gradient and neon detailing. Each of the 25 motorcycles has been individually customised over months, ensuring a level of uniqueness unparalleled in the market.

Mark Wells, Chief of Design at Royal Enfield, expressed the journey of designing the Shotgun 650, stating, “The motorcycle is built by the same team that designed the Concept and is therefore remarkably close to the concept. It retains the cast aluminium nacelle, chopped fenders, angular bodywork, and that confident, aggressive stance.”

The Shotgun 650 represents a revolutionary neo-retro roadster that breaks free from historical constraints while preserving Royal Enfield’s core DNA. The modular design allows for easy transformation from a classic single-seater to a dual-seater or a weekend tourer, offering riders unprecedented personalization options.

Powered by the award-winning 650-Twin platform, the Shotgun 650 features a blacked-out 650-Twin engine with gloss black engine covers. The motorcycle comes with a custom exhaust system, offering both futuristic aesthetics and a nostalgic aural experience. With bespoke accessories such as bar end mirrors and LED black indicators, the limited edition motorcycle also includes extended warranty and RSA service.

The exclusive Shotgun 650 Motoverse Edition embodies the spirit of originality and self-expression, guaranteeing its owners a unique piece of Royal Enfield’s heritage. The continuous production model will be launched worldwide early next year, starting with Europe and India.
