MG Motor has launched the Hector Tomahawk EV with BaaS, under which it starts from ₹13.99 lakh and ₹4.9/km for the battery. It is the first model to be based on MG’s new ADAPT Platform.
The Tomahawk EV gets LED projector headlamps with an illuminated MG logo between them, a closed-off front grille, and a blacked-out lower bumper. On the sides, it gets body cladding over the wheel arches and rocker panel, and 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. At the rear, it gets wraparound LED tail-lamps and a sculpted bumper with a silver finish. The SUV measures 4,745mm in length, 1,850mm in width and 1,770mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,810mm.
Inside, the cabin gets a 15.6-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8.8-inch digital driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats and a 10-speaker Infinity sound system. MG’s i-SMART suite adds over 80 connected features. Offered in five- and seven-seat layouts, boot space ranges from 192 litres (seven-seat, all rows up) to 610 litres (five-seat). The safety kit includes Level 2 ADAS and 6 airbags.
A 69.2kWh battery powers a motor producing 202PS and 310Nm, with MG claiming a 517km MIDC range and a 0-100kmph time of 8.2 seconds. The SUV supports up to 90kW DC fast charging (30-80 percent in 35 minutes), and it also supports vehicle-to-home (V2H) functionality alongside V2L and V2V support.
Available in Excite, Exclusive, and Essence trims for the seven-seater configuration, which ranges from ₹19.49 lakh ex-showroom to ₹23.49 lakh ex-showroom. The five-seater configuration is available only in Essence trim at a price of ₹23 lakh ex-showroom.
