Honda Big Wing has geared up to offer the kind of extended warranty programme that is unheard of for the customers of the H’ness CB350 and CB350RS motorcycles. The first 10,000 customers will be enrolled into the new extended warranty programme at zero cost. Subsequent customers can decide when to opt for the extended warranty, as they can choose to purchase it any time between 91 days to the 9th year from the date of purchase.
The warranty is not unlimited mileage, but the cap for that is an astonishing 1,30,000 kilometres – which is slightly more than a third of the distance from the earth to the moon. The warranty itself covers the failures that have occurred due to manufacturing defects. Customers will be able to renew the policy for up to 9 years. The policy is applicable throughout India, and even better, is transferable, which means even the second owner or third owner of the vehicle can continue to enjoy the benefits of the warranty long after the actual sale of the vehicle.
The Extended Warranty Plus program presents customers with three tailored options: a three-year policy for vehicles up to the 7th year, a two-year policy for vehicles in their 8th year, and a one-year policy for those in their 9th year.
The price of the extended warranty starts from Rs. 5,321. The pricing structure varies based on the purchase year of the vehicle, which should offer existing and new customers complete flexibility.
