Tyre major CEAT has expanded its SportDrive range of premium tyres by adding a run-flat tyre and a high-performance tyre to the portfolio. Priced between ₹15,000 to ₹30,000, the company claims that these new tyres incorporate its latest innovations in tyre manufacturing technology and have also been extensively tested at state-of-the-art facilities in Germany.
CEAT’s all-new run-flat tyres have been priced in the range of ₹15,000 to ₹20,000 per tyre and these are the first-ever run-flat tyres launched by an Indian tyre manufacturer. Run-flat tyres essentially incorporate a stiffer carcass and different construction compared to regular tyres, which allow them to remain operational even after loss of air pressure, albeit for a limited distance but prevents passengers from being stranded by the roadside. CEAT’s new run-flat tyre line-up is available for premium sedans and SUVs.
The company’s second all-new product is its ZR-rated 21-inch tyre line-up, which has been rated for speeds of over 300kmph. Priced between ₹25,000 to ₹30,000 per tyre, these belong to the ultra-high performance category of tyres. These tyres incorporate CEAT’s new and proprietary ‘CALM’ technology which, as per the company, helps reduce in-cabin tyre and road noise significantly and also enhance the overall driving experience.
Aimed exclusively at high-end and luxury vehicles, these latest tyres from CEAT should be available across key locations and cities in India such as Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Bengaluru, Delhi NCR, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Madurai, Mumbai, Pune, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh from next month, i.e. April 2025 onwards.
