This is the second Audi SUV to get a limited edition trim within the span of a week

It was less than a week ago when Audi launched the Q8 Limited Edition and now the Q5 has also received a similar treatment, priced at Rs 69.72 lakh. It carries a price premium of Rs 1.5 lakh over the Technology variant it is based on and will be sold in limited numbers.

So what’s different about this variant? On the outside, not much as the overall silhouette remains as is. But the SUV does get a new Mythos Black shade for a stealthier look. That’s not all as the front grille, logo, and roof rails have all been blacked-out, complementing the darker shade.

Inside, the seats, front centre armrest and door panels receive a Okapi Brown leather finish which contrasts nicely with the black dashboard. As far as features go, it retains all the bells and whistles which includes a 10.1-inch infotainment screen, Audi Virtual Cockpit, a 19-speaker Bang and Olufsen-tuned sound system, wireless charging, and a panoramic sunroof.

Things remain the same under the hood with this limited-run Q5 being powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine pushing 265PS and 370Nm. This motor is paired with a seven-speed DCT as well as Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system, enough for a 0-100kmph sprint in just 6.1 seconds with a top speed of 240kmph.

With the launch of the Limited Edition, the Audi Q5 gets another flavour of choice adding to the SUV’s appeal against rivals such as the BMW X3, Lexus NX, the Volvo XC60 as well as the Mercedes-Benz GLC.
