Bajaj has added a new Pulsar to its lineup, called the N150. Priced at Rs 1.18 lakh, ex-showroom, It marries the engine and chassis of the P150 with the styling of the N160. It is mechanically identical to the P150, with a 149.68cc air-cooled single cylinder producing 14.5PS and 13.5Nm.
It is underpinned by a simple chassis, with telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. There’s a 240mm disc at the front with a rear drum, and consequently single-channel ABS only. The P150 is offered in a dual-disc variant apart from the single-disc one.
The price of the P150 starts at Rs 1.17 lakh for the single-disc variant and goes to Rs 1.20 lakh for the dual-disc variant. By that account, the N150 is pricier than the P150 by Rs 2,000. However, the original Pulsar 150 is still on sale with a price tag of Rs 1.17 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. The N150 is significantly more affordable than the N160 though, with the latter costing Rs 1.41 lakh, ex-showroom.
The P150’s rivals come in the shape of the Yamaha FZ and FZ S and the Honda SP160.
