E3 Electric.Ai has started production of its TRION electric scooter at its manufacturing facility in Hyderabad. Customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in batches from October 7, which also marks the Bengaluru-based startup’s second anniversary.
The TRION will be offered in three variants – C1, C1X and C2. The company says the variants are aimed at youngsters, families and business users respectively. Six colour options will be available.
E3 says the scooter has completed more than 550 Design Validation Plan (DVP) tests, covering areas such as power output, range and braking. The scooter also underwent accelerated durability testing with a 205kg payload, water-wading tests and rain and water-wash testing.
The TRION was also tested over a 260km mixed-terrain route between Bengaluru and Hogenakkal. The first 100 customers will receive an 8-year/1 lakh-km warranty on the battery and key components, along with one year of roadside assistance.
