Volkswagen India has started production of the updated 2026 Taigun at its Chakan plant near Pune. It is the first time we see the midsize SUV without camouflage ahead of its official launch which is scheduled for 9 April 2026 at Mumbai.

By the looks of it, the 2026 Taigun sports a new front fascia with updated headlamps and an LED light bar connecting them, while the VW logo is illuminated, like the Tayron R-Line. It also gets updated bumpers with chrome inserts and new alloy wheel design. At the rear, it should get updated tail-lamps with connecting LED lightbar and an illuminated logo. For the GT Line trim, the chrome inserts should be blacked out along with blacked out wheels, black side mirrors and red brake callipers.

Further details regarding the exterior and interior design along with detailed specs will be revealed by the manufacturer at the time of its official launch.
