Mahindra has launched the Thar Roxx Star Edition starting at an introductory price of ₹16.85 lakh ex-showroom. It gets blacked-out design elements on the outside as well as on the inside. The homegrown car maker has also added a new colour option for this special edition Roxx.
What sets the Roxx special edition apart are the new design touches like the piano black grill and matching 19-inch black alloy wheels. Mahindra has also introduced a new colour – Citrine Yellow; with the other options – red, white and black to choose from.
On the inside, the cabin gets visual updates like an all-black leatherette upholstery with suede accents. Cabin features include ventilated front seats, sliding armrest, 60:40 split seats at the rear which also have a recline function, automated climate control, panoramic sunroof and a surround view camera. It also gets a 10.2-inch touch-enabled infotainment system, full-digital instrument cluster, connected car tech with Alexa in-built, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and a nine-speaker Harman Kardon music system.
The Thar Roxx Star Edition is offered with the same engine options as the standard Roxx – the mStallion TGDi petrol engine which pushes out 177PS and 380Nm, available only with an automatic transmission and the mHawk diesel engine which makes 175PS and 400Nm. The diesel variant is available in both automatic and manual transmission options. All three variants will be available with rear-wheel-drive configuration only.
