Ever since its global debut at the Thailand International Motor Expo in 2005, the Toyota Fortuner landed on the Indian shore in 2009, followed by other parts of the world like Australia and has been a gold standard for reliable and comfortable 4X4 vehicle. The Fortuner is conceived from the IMV (Innovative International Multi-Purpose Vehicle) platform and shares its roots with the Toyota Hilux, which was finally launched in India in 2022.

This specific example we are talking about is not a regular Toyota Fortuner, as it has gone through some extreme modifications that allow it to run faster, pushing the envelope for diesel SUVs. No wonder this one is being dubbed as the fastest three-turbo Toyota Fortuner in the world. While a lot of details about the build aren’t really available, this one runs a three-turbo setup along with the engine receiving hardware upgrades to handle the massive boost produced by the trio. To support the show, the fueling has been upgraded, and the ECU has received a custom tune.

However, only the engine-level modifications are not enough for this owner. To complete the build, it has also received a clutch upgrade and drivetrain modifications which help it to put down all the power that the engine is now making. Not to forget the suspension and brakes, which have also been upgraded to bring it to a quick halt. The SUV also sits lower than usual. The overall build looks quite close to the stock and can be passed off as a sleeper build. Only the keen-eyed, curious automotive nuts can figure out what is going on with this Fortuner.
