Adventure touring motorcycles have come a long way. Today, people are fascinated by them regardless of their cubic capacity, and the prime example of how this genre has taken over minds is the fact that TVS Motor’s first adventure touring motorcycle, the Apache RTX, has won the coveted Indian Motorcycle of the Year Award for 2026. Yes, TVS Motor’s first-ever ADV touring bike, the Apache RTX, impressed the esteemed panel of judges, including our very own Editor and Publisher, Abhay Verma, who rode the motorcycle extensively, as did the rest of the panel. After the jury round, the Apache RTX scored the most points and ultimately became the winner. However, the battle was a fierce one as the Apache RTX locked horns with the KTM 390 Adventure and the Ultraviolette X-47 Crossover. And in the end, the Apache RTX emerged as the winner, followed by the KTM 390 Adventure in second place and the Ultraviolette X-47 Crossover in third place. An important point to note here is that these three motorcycles belong to the adventure-touring class, further underscoring that we Indians have fallen in love with this genre of motorcycles.
