Hyundai has launched the second-generation Venue, starting from ₹7.9 lakh (introductory) ex-showroom. The new Hyundai Venue, which is Hyundai’s second-bestselling model in India, has received an extensive redesign, bringing it closer to the Creta, Alcazar, and the Exter in terms of aesthetics. In the last few years, Hyundai has been updating its lineup to its latest design language, and the Venue still carried the older design language. However, the Venue, which is based on the new global K1 platform, gets the same bold, futuristic design as the rest of the Hyundai lineup. It receives a brand new face, a muscular side profile, and a sleek rear end with an integrated spoiler. And it’s not just aesthetics; the K1 platform is made to enhance strength and improve safety and Hyundai is offering the Venue with a host of safety features, including Level 2 ADAS, disc brakes at the front and rear, six airbags, ESC, Hill-start assist, electronic parking brake, TPMS, and more.
On the inside the new Venue gets a dual curved display that integrates the Infotainment system and the instrument cluster, a new steering wheel, Bose sound system, ventilated front seats, a host of standard tech features, a sun roof, rear window sun shade, leather seats, ambient lighting, four-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, two-step reclining rear seats, rear AC vents, premium fit finish inside the cabin and a lot more. The Venus is offered with two petrol and one diesel engine options, including the 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine (83PS and 114.7Nm), the 1.0-litre Turbo petrol engine (120PS and 1172Nm), and the new 1.5-litre CRDi diesel motor (116PS and 250Nm). Transmission options include a five-speed manual gearbox with the 1.2-litre petrol engine, six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, and a six-speed manual with the 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engine.
There are a total of seven petrol trims and four diesel trims available for the Venue including the Venue N Line (which was unveiled today) and the 1.5-litre diesel options.
