The 125cc scooter receives a generational update with an all-new design and a new platform

Hero MotoCorp has unveiled the next-generation Destini 125. The Scooter gets an all-
new design besides sitting on a new, larger platform. While Hero has not revealed
pricing for the scooter, we believe the scooter will go on sale before the festive season.

The New Destini 125 takes a new retro design direction featuring flowing lines and a lot
of premium design elements. It gets a new headlamp and tail lamp with the new H-type
DRL that has sort of become a Hero design signature. A cool touch is the copper-hued
chrome trim though it is only available in the top ZX+ variant. There are a lot of cool
touches like the intricately crafted footpegs and the Destini logo under the seat. The
scooter gets a large floorboard beside a 770mm tall seat which Hero claims is its
longest yet.

Features include an LED projector headlamp lamp, LED tail lamp and first-in-segment
auto-cancelling turn indicators. It gets a digital instrument console with Bluetooth
connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. A cool safety feature is the bank angle sensor
that detects extreme lean angles in case of a fall and cuts off the engine.

The 125cc mill has been updated and delivers 9.1PS and 10.4Nm. Hero claims the
Destini offers a best-in-class fuel efficiency of 59kmpl. The scooter continues to use i3S
start stop technology.

The Destini 125 sits on an all-new platform which adds 12-inch wheels at both ends
(previously 10-inch wheels), a longer wheelbase and a sharper rake. Suspension duties
are taken care of by 30mm telescopic forks and monoshock while braking is done by a
190mm front disc (available on higher variants) that gets ByBre calipers.

We have ridden the Hero Destini 125 and our web and YouTube review will go live on
September 9, 10am when embargo ends.
