Japanese tyremaker Yokohama has launched the Geolander Xtreme All Terrain (X-AT) and Mud Terrain (M/T) G003 line of tyres. The Geolander X-AT is designed to perform in varying conditions, from paved roads like highways to off-road trails with rocky conditions. It is available for SUVs with 16-inch,17-inch and 18-inch wheel sizes.
The Geolander M/T G003 is designed to perform in loose terrains like mud or slush. The tread pattern helps in finding grip on muddy trails, inclines and rough terrains. The tyre is available for SUVs with 15-inch, 16-inch and 17-inch wheel sizes.
Yokohama claims the tyres feature a new compound and sidewall design that along with wear and side-cut resistance from the rocky road conditions, also provides a longer lifespan and lowered risk of punctures.
Both Geolander tyres meet the general specifications required for off-road usage. They are rated for mud and snow conditions and come with a rim protector to help protect the wheel rim against kerb damage and other abrasions.
