The tech giant’s first electric sedan was showcased during their 10th year celebration in India

The Xiaomi SU7, Xiaomi EV’s first product, is positioned as a “full-size high performance eco-technology sedan” and to make it stand out from its competitors, Xiaomi has developed five core EV technologies :  E-Motor, CTB Integrated Battery, Xiaomi Die-Casting, Xiaomi Pilot Autonomous Driving, and Smart Cabin.

The Xiaomi SU7 is available in 2 variants, the SU7 and the SU7 Max. The SU7 gets a single motor rear wheel drive setup which puts out 299PS and 400Nm of torque. It drives for a claimed range of upto 668km of a full charge and, does the 0-100kmph sprint in 5.28s with the top speed being 210kmph.

The Xiaomi SU7 Max which was showcased in India delivers 673PS and 838Nm of torque which propels the car from 0-100kmph in a blistering 2.78s and tops out at 265kmph. It gets a 101 kWh battery with an estimated range of 800km. In the braking front, the car is able to stop from 100kmph in a distance of 33.3 metres.

Step into the Xiaomi SU7 and you are greeted by a 16.1-inch 3K ultra-clear central control screen, a large 56-inch HUD, and a rotating dashboard for a welcoming ceremony every time it is started. It supports connecting Xiaomi tablets as additional screens, creating a 5-screen linkage in the car.
An important thing to note is that the Xiaomi SU7 brought to India was only for showcase purposes. Xiaomi does not plan to sell the SU7 anytime soon in India. The car in China is priced between ¥ 215,900 and ¥ 299,900 (₹24.78 lakh to ₹34.43 lakh). If launched in India, it will compete against the likes of BYD’s Seal, Hyundai’s Ioniq 5, and Kia’s EV6.
