Aims to end surge-based pricing and increase drive take-home pay

World Economic Mobility Limited (WEML) is all set to introduce ‘NEMBHARAT’, a ride booking platform that eliminates driver commissions and surge pricing completely. The prepaid and cashless business model allows the drivers to keep 100 percent of their earnings while allowing the customers to enjoy fixed pricing devoid of any surge fee.

Amid the tensions in the ride-hailing sector, like low take-home pay and passengers being concerned about safety and erratic fares, Nembharat aims to eliminate these problems and will integrate cabs, auto-rickshaws, and other modes under uniform safety standards aligned with Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) guidelines.

By eliminating commissions and surge-based pricing that currently exists in the existing ride-hailing platforms, WEML aims to offer better stability for fleet owners, individual drivers and everyday customers. Whether or not the model will work is yet to be seen, but the company is trying to make it a fair deal for both the driver and passengers alike. There is no official announcement for the launch date of the app, but we expect it to be officially announced soon.
