After releasing the teaser on the Tayron, Volkswagen India has confirmed the introduction of its latest flagship SUV, the Tayron R-Line. It will be powered by a 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine producing 201PS and 320Nm, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and Volkswagen’s 4Motion all-wheel-drive system.
As part of the R-Line package, the Tayron will feature sportier exterior bumpers and distinctive R-Line design elements, giving the SUV a more aggressive visual identity. Feature highlights include a panoramic sunroof, multi-zone climate control, 360-degree camera, wireless charging, and a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, along with a 10.2-inch fully digital instrument cluster and a 700W Harman Kardon sound system.

Safety equipment includes nine airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, TPMS, an electronic parking brake, and a comprehensive ADAS suite. The Tayron will compete with the Skoda Kodiaq, Jeep Meridian, Citroën C5 Aircross, and Hyundai Tucson.
