Volkswagen India standardises six airbags across Taigun and Virtus variants

VW lineup gets safer in India

In an effort to build safer cars for India, Volkswagen has announced the standardization of 6 airbags on all variants of the 5-star NCAP-tested Taigun and Virtus. The Taigun and Virtus have sold over 100,000 units in India since their launch.

Ashish Gupta, Brand Director of Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, expressed pride in making six airbags standard across their India 2.0 cars. He emphasized Volkswagen’s commitment to safer mobility and thanked customers for helping them achieve the milestone of over 100,000 sales of the Taigun and Virtus. Gupta reiterated Volkswagen’s dedication to offering aspirational, premium, and competitive products in the market.

In addition to Volkswagen, other automakers in India are also prioritizing safety. Brands like Tata Motors and Mahindra have introduced models with advanced safety features, including multiple airbags and robust crash protection, to enhance passenger safety on Indian roads.
