The festive season is well and truly underway, and Volkswagen India is celebrating the occasion by announcing its annual Volksfest festival. Active between October 03, to November 15, the carmaker will be offering exclusive benefits and they’ve also decided to give the Virtus sedan and Taigun SUV some feature additions in the process.
What’s new in the Virtus and Taigun under Volksfest? For starters, the Virtus Matte Edition, with Carbon Steel Grey Matte hue has been launched at a premium of Rs 20,000 over the equivalent GT Plus (with Deep Black Pearl hue) variant. An additional feature on this variant is electric front seats which is also present on the Taigun Matte Edition variant.
Also, the Topline and GT Plus variants of the Taigun and Virtus now come with electric front seats as well as footwell illumination with the GT Plus variant of both models also getting a subwoofer with an amplifier. The addition of front electric seats means a price premium of up to Rs 32,000 over the non-electric front seat variants.
As for the other benefits under Volksfest, the carmaker will be offering special discounts and benefits which includes a free vehicle check-up, pickup and drop under a limited radius. Volkswagen India is also providing offers on service packs, extended warranty, tyres and roadside assistance. New customers or potential clients will also benefit with gifts on test drives and bookings of a Volkswagen vehicle within this period.
The additions translate to a price range of Rs 11.47 lakh to Rs 19.29 lakh for the Volkswagen Virtus and Rs 11.61 lakh and Rs 19.76 lakh for the Taigun (all prices, ex-showroom). The former takes on the likes of the Skoda Slavia, Hyundai Verna, Honda City and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, while the latter has SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara for company.
