V-Green and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited have announced their collaboration to jointly set up electric vehicle charging stations and work towards developing the charging infrastructure in the country. The move aims to solidify the long-term development of VinFast and HP e-Charge brands in the market.
V-Green is a global charging station development company and an arm of VinFast. HPCL operates over 24,400 retail outlets nationwide and over 5,300 EV charging outlets under the HP e-Charge brand. Under the agreement, V-Green aims to take advantage of HPCL’s retail network to accelerate and deploy charging infrastructure across the country.
HPCL has traditionally been a fossil fuel retailer, with products like poWer and poWer 100 (a 100-octane petrol), but it is now taking steps to adapt to alternate sources of energy with focus mainly on electric mobility.
VinFast is a leading Vietnamese EV brand, and it now has 35 dealerships operating in India, with more to come. It has two products on sale, the VF6 and VF7. We have driven the VF7 and come away impressed.
