VinFast, the Vietnamese ev manufacturer has launched its first models in India, and this two-car lineup comprises the VF6 with a starting price of ₹16.49 lakh and the VF7, the current flagship of the lineup with prices starting from ₹20.89 lakh, both ex-showroom. The full price range is below:
The VinFast VF6 is equipped with a 59.6kWh battery pack that should provide a claimed ARAI-rated range of 468km (for the base model, as the Wind trim loses 5km of range). The VF6 comes with 3.3kW and 7.2kW AC chargers, with support for DC fast charging which can get from 10 percent SOC to 70 percent in 25 minutes. The acceleration from 0-100kmph is completed in 8.9 seconds, courtesy the front-mounted electric motors dishing out 177hp and 250Nm in the entry-level trim; the higher spec trim pumps out 204hp and 310Nm.
The VinFast VF7 comes with a choice of two batteries–a 59.6kWh battery and a larger 70.8kWh battery. The smaller battery is paired with a single-motor FWD drivetrain and the larger battery gets a dual-motor AWS drivetrain, with respective outputs being 204hp/310Nm and 350hp/500Nm. The WLTP-rated ranges for the VF7 are 450km for the 70.8kWh/FWD and 431kmkm for the 70.8kWh/AWD.
