The feature additions will focus on creature comfort and experience improvement
Right now the Tiago EV is the talk of the town, not just because it is the most affordable EV on the market, but the high-end features Tata is offering on the car, usually found on cars that are much more expensive. As a result, the Tiago EV now has more features than its larger sibling.
Tata will address this by issuing a mid-cycle refresh for the Tigor EV, which will get the new features first seen on Tiago EV. A quick rundown of the features expected to be available on the Tigor EV:
Multi-mode Regen options
Tyre pressure monitoring system
Rain sensing wipers
Updated ZConnect with smartwatch pairing
We expect these features will be seen on the higher-spec variant, and some of the features that are only available on the higher-spec variants will trickle down to the base models. Since it was launched in August 2021, the Tigor EV has been a sales success, and in the first half of 2022, it was the second largest selling passenger EV in India only after the Tata Nexon EV.
