• Jeep reveals three new electric SUVs as part of its future roadmap

The three SUVs will be launched by 2025

Jeep has revealed three new electric SUVs to be launched by 2025 - the Recon, Wagoneer S and the Avenger. These reveals are part of the brand’s comprehensive plan for its next generation of fully electric vehicles. 

The Jeep Recon is a fully-electric SUV that bears resemblance to the Wrangler stylistically. As such, it gets a 4x4 transmission setup along with Jeep Selec-Terrain traction management system, e-locker axle technology and the Uconnect system which provides travel guides of the most notable off-road trails. Production for the SUV will start in 2024 in North America and reservations for it will start for U.S. customers in early 2023, after which it’ll be sold in Europe and other markets around the world. 

The Wagoneer S is a premium electric SUV with 600PS and a 0-100kmph time of 3.5 seconds with a claimed range of 643 kilometres. The exterior gets a sleek LED-lit grille and comes equipped with 4x4 capabilities as standard. Like the Recon, the Wagoneer S’s production will commence in 2024 and reservations for U.S. customers will start in early 2023. 

The Jeep Avenger will be positioned under the Jeep Renegade and will be produced in the t in Tychy, Poland. It’ll have a claimed range of 400 kilometres. The electric SUV will be unveiled at the 2022 Paris Motor Show on October 17 and will be launched in early 2023. 

The reveal of these three SUVs is part of Jeep’s push towards targeting 50 percent of the sales contribution in the U.S. coming from electric vehicles by 2030 and 100 percent in Europe.
