2019 was the year we saw the advent of the Kia Seltos, and despite its sound design, it was starting to show its age. But then Kia said, Hold on a minute! And here it is, the all-new Kia Seltos in full gleam. Based on the K3 platform, the new Seltos gets a longer wheelbase of 2,690mm and an overall length of 4,460mm, making it the longest midsize SUV in India. It’s wider too at 1,830mm. The change in dimensions has given the new Seltos a wider, more imposing stance, but the interior space still feels similar to the first-gen Seltos. However, we will be driving the new Seltos soon and bring you the complete interior experience. So, stay tuned to Turbocharged for the review.

Kia Seltos: Exterior
It may have grown in size, but the main highlight of the new Seltos is its brand-new design language, which still borrows a few cues from the previous generation. Adorning the front end is the latest Digital Tiger Face, featuring a grille that seamlessly integrates into the headlamp unit and bold DRLs on either side. Kia’s design language has always stood apart from the rest, and the new Seltos is no exception. The side profile, though, reminds you of the outgoing model. The rear end, however, is new, with the tail lamps connected and featuring a small split in the middle.

Interior
On the inside, you get a new cabin with updated upholstery, new colour themes for the seats, updated infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, physical buttons for basic controls, memory function for the driver’s seat and even the ORVMs. You also get Bose premium sound, 64-colour ambient lighting, a wireless charging pad, multiple USB Type-C charging ports, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, a rear window sunshade, and 60:40 split seats. For safety, Kia is offering the new Seltos with Level 2+ ADAS, including 21 autonomous safety features, a blind-spot monitor, and a 360-degree camera.
Engines
Powering the all-new Kia Seltos are the same set of engines as before, including the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with 115PS and 144Nm, the 1.5-litre Turbo-petrol engine with 160PS and 253Nm, and finally the 1.5-litre CRDi with 115PS and 250Nm. Transmission choices also remain the same: 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT, IVT, a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, and a standard 6-speed automatic. The powertrain might be the same; however, the chassis is new, and the suspension is updated to suit the new setup.

Bookings for the new Seltos will start from December 11, 2026, for a token amount of 25,000. Prices for the entire lineup will be announced on January 2, 2026, when Kia launches the Seltos in India, and deliveries will start from mid-January 2026.
