The F77 has been around for over a year, and its USP remains its sporty and unique styling—a hybrid of a fully faired motorcycle and a naked front end. This distinctive design makes it one of the few motorcycles in the world to combine both styles. Ultraviolette even showcased the F77 being tested on slushy trails, rocky terrain, and off-road sections, emphasizing that the platform is more than just sporty. The committed rider triangle, however, deterred some potential buyers. Listening to feedback, Ultraviolette has now introduced a new variant in the form of the F77 Super Street.

What’s new? As the name suggests, the F77 Super Street is now more street-friendly, catering to a broader audience. This is primarily due to an all-new riding position achieved by replacing the clip-on handlebars with a new forged aluminum triple clamp, which holds risers mounted to a flat handlebar. This modification transforms the rider’s posture from a 55-degree lean on the F77 to a more relaxed 80 degrees—akin to transitioning from a super-sport motorcycle to a naked street bike. The new setup significantly improves usability, especially for city and highway riding.

Additionally, Ultraviolette has introduced a deflector under the handlebar, enhancing aerodynamics, a crucial aspect given the more upright seating position. The deflector underwent multiple iterations, reinforcing the brand’s aviation-inspired approach. Other than revised graphics—such as a red belly pan on the Stellar White variant—the motorcycle remains unchanged.

How does It handle? The revised geometry makes the Super Street far more accessible. One can feel it even while getting on the motorcycle and straightening it; it requires way less effort, making city commutes and long highway rides significantly more comfortable. Despite its 200kg weight, the F77’s well-balanced 50:50 weight distribution ensures exceptional handling across varied conditions. While the flat handlebar alters the riding position, the rake angle and steering lock-to-lock distance remain nearly the same. The wider handlebar increases leverage, making the Super Street feel more agile than the F77 Mach 2.

Riding the Super Street on roads and tracks was a revelation. As an F77 owner, I found myself venturing onto places I haven’t even thought of before, like dirt trails and soft terrain. The relaxed riding style made off-road conditions more manageable, allowing me to stand up and ride effortlessly. Soon enough, I was jumping over speed breakers and navigating broken roads on Bangalore’s outskirts.

We then took the Super Street to the Velocity racetrack—a technical 1.2km karting circuit. While we didn’t directly compare it to its sportier sibling, the Super Street proved immensely fun on the track. I couldn’t stop smiling behind my helmet as I clocked nearly 15 laps. Though the F77 Mach 2 would excel on a racetrack, its limited real-world use case makes the Super Street the ideal choice for most riders.

The F77 Super Street is available in two variants, offering identical performance and range compared to the F77. The Super Street and Super Street Recon come with 7.1kWh and 10.3kWh battery packs, priced at ₹2.99 lakh and ₹3.99 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. Performance remains unchanged, with the F77 producing 36PS, while the Recon delivers 40PS. Torque figures stand at 90Nm and 100Nm, with 0-100kmph achieved in 7.8s and 7.7s, respectively.
