Ducati pushed the design envelope – in both directions

Ducati has unveiled two striking concept motorcycles at the prestigious 2024 Bike Shed Moto Show in London. Named the CR241 and RR241, these concepts are born from the Ducati Scrambler platform but diverge into distinct design directions.

First up is the RR241, a vision that draws inspiration from the gritty aesthetics of post-apocalyptic TV shows. Ducati’s creative team has crafted a motorcycle that exudes ruggedness and resilience. The RR241 boasts a street tracker-like appearance, characterized by its muscular stance and aggressive lines. At the heart of this beast lies a potent engine, delivering exhilarating performance matched only by its distinctive looks. One cannot help but be drawn to the high-pass Termignoni exhaust, emitting a growl that commands attention. Adding to its adventurous spirit are features like a tall front fender and cross-spoked wheels that not only enhance its off-road capability but also contribute to its imposing presence on the streets.

In stark contrast, the CR241 pays homage to the timeless elegance of the 1970s Ducati 750SS, embracing the Cafe Racer ethos with grace and sophistication. This concept embodies the essence of a bygone era, where style and performance were intertwined seamlessly. The #CR241 is a visual delight, with every detail meticulously crafted to evoke nostalgia and admiration. From the sleek lines of its bodywork to the classic Ducati badge adorning its fuel tank, every element reminds of the brand’s rich heritage. Then there’s subtle yet significant touches like the clip-on handlebars and bar-end mirrors which accentuate its sporty character. Completing the ensemble is a flat seat that serves as a testament to Ducati’s unwavering commitment to craftsmanship.
