Imagine you are sitting in traffic, surrounded by noise, but you still have a smile on your face. Now, that is the feeling I get every time I take the Hyundai Creta N Line out for a spin. And it’s not only the fact that I get to enjoy the 6-speed manual transmission that is engaging, or the 160PS on tap. But it is the calm and serene interior of the N Line that slaps a big smile on my face. It’s not an extraordinary cabin, but the simplicity and attention to detail mimic a space that perfectly encapsulates comfort and a bit of luxury, enhancing the overall experience. After all, you spend most of your time inside a car, so a great cabin should be the priority for every carmaker, and Hyundai surely knows how to make that happen.

I recently went for a drive with my cousins, and they had stuff to say. One of them kept telling me that these seats are not as comfortable or supportive as the seats in a certain German midsize SUV, and that one offers a more luxurious feel, too. I was shocked and was questioning her reasoning. But then laughter broke out as they saw me get all riled up, questioning their statement. She and the others were being sarcastic, and they were pretty good at it, beating me at my game. If you haven’t gotten it yet, the praise was actually for the Creta N Line. My family is full of characters, I must say!
At first, I was sceptical that the Creta could impress me, especially given the large infotainment screen on the dashboard. I am not a fan of screens, as I have always found them bothersome and too distracting, especially at night. But spending time in the Creta N Line made me realise that the screen blends effortlessly into the dashboard and is far less distracting than some other SUVs in the segment. Now, after living with the Creta N Line for weeks, I have come to realise that the Koreans have put a lot of thought into integrating the screen with the dashboard, unlike some other manufacturers from different countries out there.
