Winners of the Premium Car Of The Year and Green Car Of The Year awards announced as well

The most prestigious award for the four-wheelers in India Indian Automobile Industry, the Indian Car Of Year is back for 2024, presented by JK Tyre and the winner is none other than the Hyundai Exter! The Maruti Suzuki Jimny came in second and this time we have two cars taking the third spot – Honda Elevate and the Toyota Innova Hycross. There are two more awards for the four wheelers, the Premium Car Of The Year and the Green Car Of The Year, and the winners for the same are mentioned below

Premium Car Of The Year 2024 – 

Winner – BMW 7 Series

First runner-up – Mercedes-Benz GLC

Second runner-up – BMW X1

Green Car Of The Year 2024 – 

Winner – Hyundai IONIQ 5

First runner-up – BMW i7

Second runner-up – MG Comet

The list of contenders for the Indian Car Of The Year 2024 included the likes of Citroen C3 Aircross, Honda Elevate, Hyundai Exter, Hyundai Verna, Mahindra XUV400, Maruti Suzuki Jimny, MG Comet and Toyota Innova Hycross. 

The contenders for the Green Car Of The Year 2024 includedc, BYD Atto 3, Citroen E-C3, Hyundai IONIQ 5, Mahindra XUV400, Mercedes-Benz EQE, MG Comet and Volvo C40 Recharge. 

The contenders for the Premium Car Of The Year 2024 included the BMW 7 Series, Lexus RX, BMW X1, Hyundai IONIQ 5, Lexus LX, Land Rover Range Rover Sport, Mercedes-Benz GLC and Volvo C40 Recharge.

The cars for each category were shortlisted by a team of jury consisting of 18 expert automotive journalists (mentioned below) from the top automotive publications in the country including our Editor, Abhay Verma. The jury round was held at the Buddh International Circuit on December 5, 2023 after which every member of the Jury registered their votes.
