As part of Tesla’s effort to expand its presence in India, the car maker has placed the Model Y Premium on display from March 6-12, 2026, at the Pavilion Mall in Ludhiana, Punjab. Visitors can get hands-on experiences and can also test drive the Model Y Premium in the designated parking area between 11 am and 8 pm. Test drive slots can be booked through the Tesla India website.
Tesla Model Y Premium is one of the safest EVs, as it scored the highest ratings in NHTSA (U.S.), IIHS (U.S.), Euro NCAP (Europe), ANCAP (Australia and New Zealand), and C-IASA (China). It is yet to be tested at BNCAP, though. Using Tesla’s supercharging network, the Model Y Premium can get back up to 267km of range with just 15 minutes of charging.
Tesla Model Y Premium is available in two variants – the standard rear-wheel drive, priced at ₹59.89 lakh (ex-showroom) with a WLTP range of 500km; and a Long Range rear-wheel drive variant, priced at ₹67.89 lakh (ex-showroom) with a WLTP range of 661km. A complimentary wall charger is also offered with the purchase of every Model Y. Customers can also buy the Model Y Premium at a monthly installment starting from ₹49,000, with a down payment of ₹6 lakh (The monthly EMI and down payment are based on a 7-year tenure and 8.5 percent APR under a step‑up EMI plan). Tesla is also offering an exchange incentive of ₹3 lakh to lower the cost of entry for its range of electric vehicles.
