Tata Motors has officially revealed the 2026 Tata Punch facelift ahead of its launch on January 13. With changes across the exterior, interior, and powertrain, this marks a major update since its launch in 2021.
The front fascia has been tweaked to present a more premium, sleek look, with updated LED DRLs built in a similar minimalist style. The headlamps see minor tweaks, retaining the vertically stacked trapezoidal pods from the outgoing model.

The iconic Punch-y profile has largely been maintained in line with the EV. The most noticeable changes are the new connected LED tail-lamps, refreshed lighting design, and a revised rear bumper. The new Punch also gets dual-tone alloy wheels that match the front bumper for a more balanced look. Colour options remain familiar, similar to the outgoing EV model.
Inside, the facelift follows the new-gen design language seen on larger Tata models like the Nexon and Harrier. Updates include improved seating, an updated digital instrument cluster, a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a two-spoke steering wheel, and touch-based climate controls, maintaining consistency across the Tata line-up. A 360-degree camera can be expected on higher Punch trims, which will be a first for the segment.

The powertrain update is the highlight. The 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine debuts on the Punch, likely to be borrowed from the Nexon or the Altroz, paired to a 6-speed manual, while the existing naturally aspirated petrol and petrol+CNG options are expected to continue. The Punch facelift will continue to compete with the Hyundai Exter and Citroën C3, with prices expected between ₹6 lakh and ₹9.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
