Tata Punch facelift (ICE) has earned a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating after crash tests conducted in December 2025. It scored 30.58/32 for adult occupant protection and 45/49 for child occupant protection.
In crash tests, it recorded 14.71/16 in the frontal offset barrier test and 15.87/16 in the side barrier test, showing adequate-to-good protection for both driver and passenger. For child safety, it achieved full 24/24 in dynamic tests. Standard safety kit includes 6 airbags, ESC, ISOFIX mounts, 360° camera, blind spot monitoring and more.
The Tata Punch facelift was launched on 13 January, 2026, with several updates as compared to the pre-facelift model, which scored five stars for adult safety and four for child safety in Global NCAP. The Punch, hence, comes across as a safer option in the subcompact SUV segment; one of cutthroat rivalry in India with options such as the Citroen C3, the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, and the Hyundai Exter.
